“Pasquinelli Shamrock Open Tournament Winners”

The 18th Annual Pasquinelli Shamrock Open Golf Tournament was held at the Yuma Golf and Country Club on Friday and Saturday, March 17 and 18, 2023. This annual event is a fundraiser to support the success of the 489 students at Yuma Catholic High School.
The Friday format was an 18 hole, par 3 horse race contest with alternating shots. It was a fast, furious and fun afternoon of play for the teams. First Place was awarded to the MD Farms team of Gabe Plaza, John Holbrook, Davie Brooks and John Botsford. Second Place was awarded to the Vessey & Company  team of Kobe Villegas, Kevin Villegas, Joe Allegranza and Dylan Smith. Third Place was awarded to the Griffin R&R Farming team of Ray Griffin, Ted Johnson, Miguel Salcedo and Pat Griffin.  Fourth Place went to the Desert Road Builders team of Robert Smythe, Senait Smythe, Phil Davis and Elaine Davis.  
The Saturday morning format was an 18-hole scramble with the players teeing up based on their handicaps. First Place was awarded to the Sellers Petroleum Team of Tony Sellers, Jeff Sellers, Jack Wilbur and Jay McMullen. Second Place was awarded to the Pasquinelli Family Foundation team of Grady Bourgignon, Fr. Chris Orndorff, Jeff Havins, and Calvin Morris. Third place was awarded to the Nova Home Loans team of Dustin Craig, Todd Craig, Kyle McLaughlin and Stevie Seale. Fourth Place went to the Pasquinelli Family Foundation team of Ron Ewing, Dick McLaughlin, Gary Pasquinelli and Adrienne McLaughlin.
The two-day event also featured hole-in-one prize opportunities, skins contest and raffle prizes to increase the fun!  All in all there was over $12,000 in cash and prizes awarded to the winners.  No one was able to score one of the four hole in one prizes sponsored by Imperial Date Gardens, Alexander Automotive Group, Ammons Farms, and a generous anonymous donor!  The Skins money on Friday was split evenly among 6 tying teams. The Skins winners for Saturday were: Grady Bourgignon, Fr. Chris Orndorff, Jeff Havins, and Calvin Morris.  Congratulations to all of the winners.  
The students of Yuma Catholic High School are succeeding because of these generous sponsors.  The event raised over $75,000 to support student success.
